Overview
This was the world’s first open air aquarium, built in 1934 to allow patrons to explore beneath the waters of the Florida Keys. Since that time most of the building has become enclosed to allow for all weather viewing. This kid-friendly aquarium allows you to handle hermit and horseshoe crabs, queen conchs, sea cucumbers and starfish.
Guided tours include shark feedings and start up at: 11:00 a.m., 1:00, 3:00 and 4:30 p.m.
